Gwinn-less Germany target qualification against Denmark

July 8 – With a new captain, Germany will take on Denmark in Group C, knowing victory could secure them a spot in the quarter-finals of EURO 2025.

Following their opening 2-0 victory against Poland, captain Giulia Gwinn was ruled out of the tournament after a scan revealed a serious knee injury, with the armband passing to central defender Janina Minge, while Sjoeke Nüsken setps up as vice-captain.
