Man accused of assaulting elderly Army veteran during Newport political protest

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man accused of assaulting an Army veteran during a political protest is facing a felony charge, the Lincoln County District Attorney's Office announced.

The indictment comes after Newport police arrested 41-year-old Jacob Busch after an investigation into an alleged assault in front of Newport City Hall during a political protest, Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office said.
