When customers purchase flights, they sometimes get to pick their own seats, although some are assigned randomly depending on the airline and the flight. 

Some like the window because of the view, while others enjoy the aisle seat because they can get up freely without having to disturb others in their row. 

Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan was asked where his favorite place was to sit on a plane, and he gave his answer in an exclusive interview with Jordyn Holman of The New York Times.
