‘A Lot’ of California Residents Bracing for Punishment Following 4th of July

Fourth of July weekend came and went with Americans celebrating Independence Day. 

As always, fireworks were a common sight across the country. 

This year, the state of California made a firmer effort to crack down on the use of illegal fireworks. 

California Governor Gavin Newsom's office stated that they had seized over 600,000 pounds of illegal fireworks before the holiday, demonstrating their aggressiveness in cracking down on this matter.
