Chhattisgarh liquor 'scam': Fourth supplementary chargesheet filed; EOW pegs amount at Rs 3200 crore

Chhattisgarh's Economic Offence Wing filed a fourth supplementary chargesheet in the alleged liquor scam during the previous Congress government, implicating 29 excise officials. Investigations revealed the scam exceeded Rs 3200 crore, involving the sale of unaccounted liquor in 15 districts between 2019 and 2023. The agency has filed five chargesheets and arrested 13 individuals, including a Congress MLA.
