Fire Weather Watch issued for parts of Oregon Tuesday, toasty temps return to PDX
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Tuesday afternoon and evening for much of central and south-central Oregon, including the central mountains of Oregon and the southern Deschutes National Forest.
This watch was issued due to an abundance of lightning, with isolated dry thunderstorms in the forecast on Tuesday for central Oregon.
You can think of this like a precursor to a Red Flag Warning, so if a fire was to develop it would spread quickly.
