Legendary 83-Year-Old Missouri Restaurant Closed 'Until Further Notice' After Fire

A Golden City, Missouri restaurant which debuted in 1942 is now closed "until further notice" following a fire. 

On Sunday morning, Cooky's Cafe posted on Facebook that it had suffered a small blaze earlier that morning, resulting in water and smoke damage. Unfortunately, the eatery is shut down for the time being as repairs are made.

"We had a small fire at the restaurant this morning and due to water and smoke damage we will be closed until further notice," the post reads. "Everyone is fine, so no worries there.
