British teenager Marcus Fakana released from Dubai after being jailed for having sex with teenage girl

An 18-year-old Londoner jailed for a year in Dubai for having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl has been released and is the UK again.

Marcus Fakana, now 19, of Tottenham, north London, received a royal pardon from Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In June, Marcus pleaded with the royal to offer a humanitarian pardon so he could return home before his sentence was over.
