Update: Beach hazards statement affecting Los Angeles County beaches Sunday night

Catalina/Santa Barbara Islands, Malibu, Los Angeles County Beaches and Ventura County Beaches are included in an updated beach hazards statement issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 8:10 p.m. The statement is in effect until 11 p.m.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “Dangerous rip currents and breaking waves due to elevated surf expected.”
