Legendary Illinois Restaurant Announces It Will Close July 13

The restaurant business can be rewarding, but also cruel. Sadly, we've seen dozens of beloved local eateries announce closures in recent months for a number of different reasons.

Mulkey's Restaurant on 14th Avenue in Quad Cities, Illinois is one of the latest ones to say it will be shuttering. In a Facebook post early Thursday morning, the Mulkey family said their longtime establishment, known for its Henny Penny chicken and other homestyle cooking, will close after its final day of service Sunday, July 13.
