Popular Tourist Destination Might Make Controversial New Order Permanent
Myrtle Beach, a popular tourist destination in the state of South Carolina, recently imposed a curfew that could become permanent.
According to Adam Benson of WBTW, the curfew forbids juveniles under the age of 18 from being outside in the downtown area of Myrtle Beach from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The decision comes on the heels of a slew of juvenile arrests in the area since March 13. There have been 137 in total, with 57 of those being the result of "physical violence, drugs and/or weapons," according to the official order.
