Sunday starts out dry; Stormy afternoon at times

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - After starting out with dry conditions and hot temperatures, scattered storms develop in the afternoon hours. Before the storms arrive, temperatures will reach into the low and mid 90s with feels-like temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees. Make sure you drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen if you will be outdoors today. Scattered storms develop during the afternoon and continue into the evening hours. These storms will be slow-moving and could produce heavy rain.
