Disneyland Closing Beloved Ride During 70th Anniversary

As Disneyland celebrates its 70th anniversary with fireworks, parades, and a flood of visitors, one iconic ride is going dark right in the middle of the party.

Starting Aug. 11, the Haunted Mansion will temporarily close to undergo its annual transformation into Haunted Mansion Holiday, the seasonal overlay inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. 

While Disney hasn’t issued an official press release, the closure quietly appeared on the park’s calendar and was quickly spotted by dedicated fans, People reported.
