'Summer Saturday' discount for LIRR and Metro-North returns

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- To help people explore all that New York has to offer, "Summer Saturday" discounts are making a comeback for LIRR and Metro-North riders.

Monthly ticket holders for LIRR and Metro-North can bring up to two additional passengers for a $1 each on Saturdays, according to the announcement from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul. The offer will run from this week and through Aug. 30.
