A study in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General reveals that coolness, unlike goodness, is a universal concept. Cool individuals, perceived as autonomous and indifferent to societal expectations, challenge norms and drive cultural change globally. While goodness requires effort, coolness is defined by an effortless 'not trying' attitude, making it difficult to fake.
