India to receive above average rainfall in July, says IMD

Good news for India. The India Meteorological Department forecasts above normal rainfall in July. Rainfall is expected to exceed 106% of the long period average. Most parts of India will experience this increased rainfall. However, some regions like northeast India, parts of East India, and the extreme south peninsular may receive below average rainfall.
