Madhya Pradesh completes safe disposal of 337 tonnes of Bhopal gas tragedy waste

The Union Carbide factory waste in Bhopal is now ashes. All 337 tonnes of waste have been incinerated at a Pithampur disposal plant. This marks the end of a dark chapter from the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. The Madhya Pradesh High Court directed the waste disposal. The incineration process was monitored. Residue will be safely buried.
