Half of I-70 to close in Topeka on Saturday
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kansas transportation officials will be closing part of I-70 in downtown Topeka this weekend for work on the ongoing Polk-Quincy Viaduct project.
Kate Craft with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) said in a press release on June 26 that workers will be closing westbound I-70 in Topeka starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, June 28 for lane shift and traffic control readjustments. KDOT plans to reopen the highway at 4 p.m. later that same day.
