Deeptech startup Sthyr Energy raises $1 million from Speciale Invest, Antares Ventures

Founded by Gunjan Kapadia, Akhil Kongara and Muhammed Hamdan, researchers from IIT Madras, Sthyr is developing mechanically rechargeable Zinc-Air battery systems designed for long-duration and seasonal storage. The system uses non-flammable, water-based electrolytes to increase safety, while its architecture decouples energy and power components, enabling modular deployments at various scales.
