Woman dies after being hit by vehicle on Hancock Drive

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department said Claudia Gale Porter died on Friday after she was hit by a vehicle in the 2800 block of Hancock Drive. 

The department said at 7:45 a.m., officers responded to a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Police said Porter was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. 

APD said the driver remained on scene, was not impaired and cooperated with the investigation.
