Ludhiana West bypoll result: Vote counting begins; 14 candidates in fray

Counting began Monday for the Ludhiana West assembly bypoll, triggered by the death of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi. The election on June 19 saw a 51.33% voter turnout, lower than 2022's 64%. Fourteen candidates are competing, with the AAP fielding Sanjeev Arora, Congress backing Bharat Bhushan Ashu, BJP nominating Jiwan Gupta, and SAD choosing Parupkar Singh Ghuman.
