Where to cool down in NYC during extreme heat

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – New Yorkers have several ways to cool down during extreme heat this week.

An extreme heat advisory starts Sunday afternoon and lasts through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures could reach 100 degrees.

At least 35 cooling centers are open on Sunday for New Yorkers to hang out in air conditioning, including Petco locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens for pets.
