Hot-Air Balloon Ride Ends in Deadly Tragedy

Eight people have died after a hot-air balloon crashed on Saturday in Brazil.

Brazilian officials announced that 21 people were aboard the balloon, including the pilot. The 13 survivors have been transported to local hospitals. 

The tragic flight took off in the southern state of Santa Catarina and crashed in the city of Praia Grande, according to Reuters.

"Our teams continue to provide all necessary support to the families and victims," state governor Jorginho Mello said on X.
