Man found dead in Ayia Napa

A 34-year-old man was found dead in an open area early on Friday morning. Police have confirmed that, so far, there is no evidence suggesting foul play.

The man, a European citizen and permanent resident of Cyprus, was discovered around 06.05am in Ayia Napa. He was employed locally. Officers quickly sealed off the scene and began an investigation.

Andreas Constantinou, spokesperson for the Famagusta police directorate, said a post-mortem examination was conducted on Saturday at Nicosia general hospital.
