Under investigation: Former CHEM doctor detained following suspicious patient death

As part of a judicial investigation opened for voluntary and involuntary manslaughter, a former doctor from the Emile Mayrisch Hospital Center (CHEM) was placed in pre-trial detention this Friday, 20 June, 2025. The investigation concerns serious incidents that occurred in the palliative care unit in Esch-sur-Alzette.
