Tiny robots developed to help fix leaky water pipes

UK engineers have developed Pipebots—tiny, autonomous robots that inspect, detect, and repair faults in water pipes, reducing leaks and avoiding costly excavations. Developed by the University of Sheffield and partners, the robots use advanced sensors and cameras, and can communicate with each other to navigate and diagnose issues underground efficiently.
