Planned East Coast Freight corridor is top priority: DFCCIL MD

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) prioritizes the East Coast Freight Corridor, running from Kharagpur to Vijayawada, for approvals among three proposed cargo tracks. Detailed project reports worth Rs 4.5 lakh crore have been submitted to the Railway Boards. Refinancing of World Bank loans is also underway, with potential involvement from the Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC).
