Norway’s Responsibility to Future Generations

In May, Norway’s Future Panel, comprising 66 citizens selected through a representative process, formally demanded a legal framework – including a dedicated commissioner – to safeguard future generations. If the government adopts this model, which Wales pioneered, it could put its immense oil wealth to even better use.
