NYC celebrates Juneteenth with Broadway performances, comedy, other events
NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York City is celebrating Juneteenth on Thursday, the federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the U.S.
BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn is holding a free concert in Prospect Park’s Bandshell at 5 p.m.. Organizers are digging into the roots of the holiday’s historic Texas origins with Dallas-based musical performers and a DJ to open the night.
