Summer starts tomorrow in NYC, longest day of the year

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Summer is officially here in New York City. 

The summer solstice is Friday, June 20 at 10:42 p.m., according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac. It’s the official start to summer and the longest day of the year.

In New York City, sunrise will be around 5:22 a.m. and sunset will be around 8:42 p.m. Friday, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac. 

The summer sun will bring summer weather. On Thursday, the city will see a high of 90 degrees.
