Air India plane crash: Survey of Ahmedabad airport's surrounding areas to be conducted, says official

Following the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad that killed 270, a survey of areas near Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will be conducted. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and the Civil Aviation department will undertake the survey as per DGCA guidelines. The civil aviation ministry has released draft rules to tighten controls on structures near airports.
