Assembly bypolls: Voting progresses smoothly at Malappuram's Punchakkoli

Despite its remote location within a forest region, the Punchakkoli polling booth in Malappuram witnessed smooth voting. Nilambur recorded a voter turnout of 30.51% by 11 am. The bypoll was necessitated by the resignation of PV Anvar. Candidates M Swaraj (LDF), Aryadan Shoukath (UDF), and Adv. Mohan George (BJP) are contesting, with results due on June 23.
