Vodafone Idea partners with AST SpaceMobile for satellite-powered mobile connectivity across India

Vodafone Idea, or Vi, is collaborating with AST SpaceMobile. The aim is to provide mobile broadband via satellite directly to smartphones across India. This partnership seeks to improve connectivity in areas with limited mobile coverage. It will integrate AST SpaceMobile’s satellite technology with Vi’s network. The goal is to support remote learning, telemedicine, and emergency services.
