NBA draft: Pick order, projections, how to watch

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Dallas Mavericks plan to plant their Flagg in Barclays Center when the 2025 NBA draft begins June 25.

The Mavs won the draft lottery May 12 despite long odds, 1.8%, to earn the first pick, and presumably they'll grab Duke's Cooper Flagg, a one-and-done superstar for the Blue Devils that many expect to be an impact player in the league immediately. They'll need a player like that after trading 5-time all-star Luka Doncic to the Lakers in the middle of the season, and as Kyrie Irving recovers from a torn ACL.
