VIDEO: Security guard who shot, killed man near Portland preschool won't face charges

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The security guard who shot and killed a man last month near a Portland preschool will not face charges, the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday.

Officials say that Manuel Garza "violently attacked" uniformed security guard Eric Salisbury with The Gan Portland Jewish Preschool in the parking lot of the Fanno Creek Medical Center. Portland police investigators say Salisbury's actions were in self-defense and were justified. Garza died weeks after the incident on May 23.
