Cubs Bullpen Ace Has An Issue to Keep an Eye On

One of the best storylines of the 2025 MLB season has been Drew Pomeranz’s comeback. The left-handed pitcher last appeared in the majors for the San Diego Padres in 2021 before his return with the Chicago Cubs back in April. Now, the 36-year-old has turned into somewhat of a bullpen ace for Craig Counsell, but there’s one issue looming over Pomeranz.

The lefty made his 20th appearance for the Cubs this past Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pomeranz continued his scoreless streak.
