Bicyclist dies after May hit-and-run crash in south Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN)-- The Austin Police Department said it identified a bicyclist who was hit and killed by a vehicle on May 20 as Bobby Wayne Carr.

Around 11:44 p.m., police responded to a crash in the 4100 block of South Congress Avenue that involved a pedestrian on a bike and an unknown vehicle. The vehicle's driver left the scene and did not render aid or call 911. 

Austin Police said Carr was taken to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries from the crash. He died on June 9, police said.
