Small plane crashes onto hangar roof at Kansas airport

NEW CENTURY, Kan. (WDAF) — Two people were taken to the hospital after an aircraft crashed at New Century Airport in Johnson County, Kansas, on Monday afternoon.

The incident was reported just before 1:30 p.m. The sheriff's office said a light twin-engine plane with two people onboard crash-landed on the roof of a hangar.

The sheriff's office said the two people onboard sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital.
