Gerard Butler is opening up about one of his more ill-fated Hollywood auditions.

During a recent interview with HuffPost UK to promote the live-action remake of How To Train Your Dragon, the Scottish actor admitted he once inadvertently insulted an esteemed director while trying out for one of his films.

While he didn’t disclose the name of the movie, he did reveal that the film in question was a remake, directed by Joe Wright.
