Social media users circulated images and NASA FIRMS satellite data suggesting three ships were on fire in the Gulf of Oman near the Strait of Hormuz. British firm Ambrey confirmed awareness of an incident off Khor Fakkan but stated it was not security-related. Official authorities have yet to verify fire claims
