It only took well over a century, but a famous tortoise at Zoo Miami is finally a father.
According to the Associated Press, Goliath, a massive 517-pound tortoise, celebrated his 135th birthday on Father's Day on Sunday. However, that wasn't the only reason to celebrate.
Goliath became a father for the first time on June 4, when one of the eight eggs of his mate, Sweet Pea, hatched, Zoo Miami officials revealed. Sweet Pea is estimated to be anywhere from 85 to 100 years old.
