Gautam Gambhir returns back to India due to ‘Family Emergency’: Might return within a week

A source from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed that India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir, on Friday June 13, returned to the country because he had an emergency situation in his family.

The source stated that Gautam Gambhir had to fly back in order to visit his mother- who has been admitted to a hospital because of health complications.

“Yes. He’s gone back (to India) for a family emergency,” said the source.
