Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner Make Wild French Open History
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner engaged in an epic back-and-forth in the final at Roland Garros Sunday.
Alcaraz, the No. 2 player in the world and reigning French Open champion, outlasted Sinner, the top-ranked player in the world and two-time Australian Open winner. The two elite talents split the first four sets before Alcaraz edged Sinner in the fifth deciding set to capture his second-straight title in Paris.
Sinner won the first two sets 6-4. 7-6 before Alcaraz rallied and won the next three 6-, 7-6, 7-6.
