Several southbound US 183 lanes closed over the weekend, here's why

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The 183 North Mobility Project announced on Thursday it would be temporarily closing three of the four southbound U.S. 183 main lanes this weekend from Hunters Chase Drive/Oceanaire Boulevard to Riata Trace Parkway/Pavillion Boulevard.

The agency said the closure was to accommodate construction activity on the roadway.

The closure is expected to last 24 hours a day from June 6 to June 8 to complete necessary work in the area, according to the press release.
