Part of Oistins closed as cleanup of oil spill continues

Chairman of Oistins Bay Garden Inc. Kemar Harris is hopeful that the cleanup of an oil spill in the busy Christ Church town will be completed in time for the weekly Friday night lime.

Some businesses in the area are closed “until further notice” while the operation is in progress, but Government officials are expected to give an update around noon.

Members of the public are being advised to avoid the area as there is a very strong smell of oil. Caution tape has been put in place.
