Tragedy as footballer, 14, dies after horrifying collision with opponent and slipping into a coma

A FOOTBALLER has died following a horror collision with an opponent.

Ilann, 14, whose surname was withheld by his club, passed away after playing for French team Jeunesse Villenavaise.

The teenager was reportedly struck in the chest during an aerial duel while starring at a tournament in Merignac on Sunday.
