Sikkim: First batch of tourists from Chaten successfully evacuated at Pakyong Airport

Helicopters have airlifted stranded tourists from Chaten and Lachen to safety, with ongoing efforts to restore essential services like telecommunications and electricity. Sadly, several individuals remain missing after a landslide struck a military camp, resulting in fatalities and ongoing search operations.
