Ville Platte men arrested, one claims to be police officer; drugs, guns seized

VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) -- Two men were arrested, one of whom claimed to be a police officer, and large amounts of guns and drugs were seized in a raid on a Ville Platte home last week, authorities said.

Marvin Campbell, 70, of Ville Platte, and Terry Campbell, 65, of Ville Platte, are each charged with 47 counts of illegal carrying of a firearm, nine counts of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids and two counts of possessing or dealing in unregistered or illegally transferred weapons.
