Payne Co. Sheriff’s Office targeted in ransomware attack, precaution advised

PAYNE, Co. (KFOR) - Officials in Payne County say its Sheriff's Office has been a target of a ransomware attack and the FBI is currently conducting a criminal investigation into the incident.

The Sheriff is asking out of an abundance of caution, that anyone who has filed a report with the Payne County Sheriff’s Office prior to May 15, 2025, take these precautions:
