Austin brain chip company Paradromics completes first human implant

AUSTIN (ABJ) — An Austin-based startup developing brain-computer interfaces is moving on to its next phase of testing after completing its first human procedure.

Paradromics Inc. announced June 2 that it completed its first successful surgical placement of its Connexus interface device in a patient undergoing brain surgery for epilepsy. The chip was briefly used and tested during the surgery and was then removed.
